CIC Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIC CIB) is pleased to support Encavis, a German independent electricity producer, in its development in France through an onshore wind farm located in the Aisne department (Hauts-de-France region). This farm will consist of 7 wind turbines with a total capacity of 41.3 MW and is expected to generate approximately 84 GWh of electricity per year. The project is currently under construction and is scheduled to be commissioned in early 2027.
As the sole lead Arranger and Facility Agent, CIC CIB signed a €76.6 million limited recourse loan to finance the construction and operation of this wind farm. This achievement enables Encavis to increase its footprint in France and reflects CIC CIB’s strategy to strengthen its role as a renewable energy financier especially with German sponsors.
This transaction fully aligns with CIC CIB's commitment to support sustainable energy projects and actively participate in the energy transition, in line with the long-term decarbonization priorities of the Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale group.
